Gold Wrapping Paper

I received this from my husband today and just had to share it.

Gold Wrapping Paper

I received this from a friend who had a choice to make. It said that I had a choice to make too.
I've chosen. Now it's your turn to choose.

The story goes that some time ago a mother punished her five year old daughter for wasting a roll of expensive gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and she became even more upset when the child used the gold paper to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.

Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift box to her mother the next morning and then said, 'This is for you, Momma.'

The mother was embarrassed by her earlier over reaction, but her anger flared again when she opened the box and found it was empty.. She spoke to her daughter in a harsh manner, 'Don't you know, young lady, when you give someone a present there's supposed to be something inside the package?'

She had tears in her eyes and said, 'Oh, Momma, it's not empty! I blew kisses into it until it was full..'

The mother was crushed. She fell on her knees and put her arms around her little girl, and she begged her forgiveness for her thoughtless anger.

An accident took the life of the child only a short time later, and it is told that the mother kept that gold box by her bed for all the years of her life.

Whenever she was discouraged or faced difficult problems she would open the box and take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us, as human beings, have been given a Golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, family, friends and GOD. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

Friends are like angels who lift us to our feet, when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

( I mean that in a good way) So I was wondering what are some of your favorite Christmas treats or foods. Mine I would have to say is eggnog, since it only comes out once a year and I have not ventured to try to make my own.

Merry CHRISTmas

I want to wish all my fellow bloggers out there a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. We must not let the secular world take away our reason of celebrating this season. We as Christians must take our stand NOW to not let the media, Hollywood or anyone to tell us that we can't say Merry Christmas. I am making a point this Christmas to say that everyone I can, even in stores to strangers and u would not believe the response I get. There is more of us out there than the media knows, if we would just come together as one as a WHOLE church they would be defeated. So to everyone who reads this have a very Merry CHRISTmas and a BLESSED New Year.

Wednesday, November 12, 2008

Well another election has gone and past. We as Christians really need to rally together in one mind and one accord and pray for our new upcoming president. He can become a blood bought son of God if we continue to pray for our nation and leaders. This is our responsibility as a Church Body. We need to pray for wisdom and Godly choices for our nation. We need to continue to pray for President Bush also. He still is our commander in chief till January. May the God of peace be with you all. We are headed to a new season with this upcoming new year. Do not cease from praying. May God Bless you all.

Politics, yuckkkkkkkeeeeee!!!!

I know our founding fathers are watching from above and shaking their heads in disgust of how the politicians have turned their hard work into mockery. As a politician if you even say the word God as in the one true God, then your against everybody. If only they would wake up listen to the percentage of believers out there, this whole thing would do the biggest flip flop anyone has ever seen. Wonder why God put in His Word, "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.2 Chronicles 7:13-15 . Heal their land, amazing isn't it. God speaks, we listen and obey, He acts. See that God 's Word is verbs, which means action, which means He is the Almighty that WILL do what He says. How many politicians do you know that does what they say????? HMMMMMMMMMMMM!

Never be the Same again.

How do I start, by saying "I've got something all over me and its The Blessing of God". We had one of the most anointed evangelists at our church last night, Jerry Savelle. He was great. He taught on the impartation and then laid hands on every person in our church to impart on us not just his impartation but of all those that had imparted in him. My husband and I will never be the same, never. I will not except the just as it is, but I will and want to excel, increase, prosper, and suceed. So don't just settle, my husband says we will have double the portion. Ha, ha devil.

The Blood

Good day all! Sorry been so long been very busy. Had to work over the Labor Day weekend, and on Labor Day. Not that bad though I get paid extra, so that's a good thing. Lord has really been dealing a lot lately with me on the Blood of Jesus. You know back in Old testament days when the priest went to the holy of holies he had to be covered with blood. But awesomely enough Jesus is our Blood, would be kinda gross to get our clothes bloody before each church service. Just remember WE are covered by the BLOOD OF CHRIST, so we have no excuses to not to prosperous, healthy, joyful and full of love.

Good Weekend

I just wanted to write in connection with last blog that one good thing about this month is that one of my "adoptive daughters" is moving to Minnesota. Not that she is moving is good thing but that she is going to a school there. The Maxwell Family wish her all the best and that she will be in our prayers daily. We Love You Whitney!
Several people did send her off good, we had a party for her last weekend and it was great. We swam, we ate, we played games, we ate some more, and most of all we all had some great fellowship. Whitney again we love you and may God Bless You in everything you do.

A Sad August

Sorry its been so long since my last blog, but a few things has happened since the last one. they I wrote my last blog my father-in-law Ward Keith was put in the hospital. He then went into ICU and on Aug. 09, 2008 he went on to be with Lord. Ward Keith, Jr. was born on Aug. 23rd, 1939. He started the Crawford County Horseman's Assocication, was an avid worker, never took vacations, and was the best grandfather to our son Eli. The most amazing thing was that at his funeral his son Chris Keith sang "Go rest high on the Mountain" and he personalized it to say Dad in some parts of the song. Please keep our family in your prayers through this trying time. Our son has had the hardest time ever realizing that he is not coming back. He was with him everyday of his life. But the Holy Spirit has been good to us in giving us peace and comfort. Thank You Father God for the gift of the Holy Spirit. May God Bless you all.

In Loving Memory of Craig McNelly!!!

Sorry it has been awhile have had a few obstacles lately. I am dedicating this blog to a very very dear friend of my family, Craig McNelly. He was an awesome husband to Carol, the best father to Ben, Becky, Zack, Caleb, and Christianna. He taught Tony and myself alot about our God and what Christianity really is. His final resting place is not in Witchita, KS, but in his new digs up above with our Lord Jesus Christ. As I said in the guest book, this is not good-bye, but "See ya soon my brother". Craig was also the most amazing salesperson for Kirby vacuums. He could sell you one of them even though you really didn't need it. If you are reading this Craig was only 46 yrs old and ready to meet the Lord. I hope you are. James 4:14 "whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. " So on that note, if your not sure, better find a bible!

Tunnel Vision

OK, I was watching TBN last night and I heard this amazing teenager give the greatest object lesson on tunnel vision. He had everyone in the congregation make a small O with one of their hands take it and put it up to one eye and look through it. Then take it down and look with both eyes. Sad that even as Christians we have tunnel vision where we only see what's in front of us and not what is surrounding us. We have to look at the whole picture. God is amazing just look at everything around us, from the simple things like a tree or the sunset, to the incredible technology that we have now to go any where in the world. So next time your outside look ALL around you, not just what's in front of you. Our God IS an awesome God!

Fun in the Sun

Last night our church rented the Alma Water Park for the church. Everyone had a great time. I seen people going down the toilet bowl slide that I thought I would never see in a pair shorts. LOL. I pretty sure the adults had more fun than the kids did. Pastor I am so proud to call you my Pastor. Living Word-River Valley is "Definitely not church as usual" and I am so glad its not.

Perspectives

Well another weekend goes by and it was another busy one. I had to work, but Tony worked harder and it was more beneficial. He got to work in and around God's house. He came home exhausted but exilerated. We had a work day at our church and from what I hear it was great. Alot was accomplished. Go Ministries came and helped out with it also. Thanks to all for making our church a great place to be. Thanks to our Pastors Kevin and Susan Fletcher for a vision.

God is so great. Only God can make the beauty that surrounds us daily. Have you ever really looked at a butterfly. What an amazing creature! Now think about this, that very beautiful creature that you see before you it took an awesome journey to get that point. I know, I know some of you are thinking DUHHHH, its a caterpillar then Poof!!, its a butterfly, but it goes through a tremendous transformation. Just as Christians take that same transformation. We start out as caterpillars(Sinners), then we go into a cocoon(living of the world), then we transform into a beautiful creature(asking Jesus into our hearts). I don't know about you but I love being this beautiful creature that God has turned me into. I will never go back to my old life. I love people saying to me why are you so joyful. I can gladly say, "It's not me, it's Jesus." So next time you see a butterfly, think about the transformation you have been through or if you don't know Jesus Christ, just open the Holy Bible and read and you can transform into beautiful creature. We all have to take that journey of our FREE WILL and choose, don't choose wrongly, CHOOSE LIFE-CHOOSE CHRIST.
